“Once Upon a Time,” that’s how this story should begin. But then, it should also end with “And they all lived Happily Ever After,” with those last three words capitalized for emphasis. But it doesn’t. End in “Happily Ever After,” I mean. Or, at least, that’ how it seems. But I’ve managed to tie up the loose ends and I promise you that at the end, everyone gets to live Happily Ever After. My name is Lisa, short for Lisa-Marie, and I once heard this story from my mother, many years before she died. It’s about two girls, and I have been careful to confirm this story with my Auntie. H

Charlie was stuck in a terrible cliché. He found himself backed up against the wall of a grimy alleyway, a gun aimed at his head. The man who held the weapon wore sunglasses, in spite of the fact that it was dark. Dark, at least, aside from the flickering light above the back of a Chinese drycleaner’s. All Charlie could think about was that he’d seen this somewhere before. First off, all of the teddy bears you see on this page were hand made by me. Seriously, and people ask if I'm serious....

My name is Ken. I'm a computer consultant and the owner/publisher of Divertir Publishing, a small publishing company in Southern New Hampshire. I joined this site to follow the work of a very close friend. Recently I decided to post some of my own work here - photos I've taken, graphic designs and art I've done, some of my embroidery designs, and yes, pictures of teddy bears I've made. I hope you enjoy what I post.

My other hobbies include making homemade wine and writing. My Ph.D. is in chemistry - wine making is my way of making believe I'm doing something useful with my degree. :)
